“Avaritia” represents Greed in my Only Human series, which depicts the Seven Deadly Sins and Seven Heavenly Virtues. I chose buttercups to represent greed, because they symbolize both wealth and innocence. I believe there is an element of innocence in greed, especially when it applies to those who are born into more privileged lives than others. They don’t realize exactly how greedy they are being because they truly don’t understand some of the struggles others face.
