“Aegis-Hearted” is a piece I created that focuses on the courage required to exist unapologetically as we are. It depicts a feminine version of Zeus/Jupiter in the company of her four moons: Europa, Ganymede, Io and Callisto. I titled the painting, “Aegis-Hearted”, because Zeus’ shield was called the “Aegis” in Greek mythology.
