In September, 2023, my limited edition Oracle deck, the Crested Oracle, arrived. It’s the world’s first fully illustrated gecko deck, and it celebrates Crested (or as some people know them, Eyelash) Geckos . I’m also in the process of created the Gecko Tarot, which encompasses many different species including, but not limited to:
Leopard, Crested, Gargoyle, Tokay, Mourning, Day, and Leachies.

The Crested Oracle is my oracle deck celebrating Crested Geckos! It’s a deck of 32 beautifully illustrated Bridge-sized cards that contain positive, soothing themes meant to evoke optimism, peace, and strength. There are only 100 decks, and they each have their own adorable protective tin that I’ve numbered out of 100. Whether you use the deck as journal prompts or take the more traditional path and use it for divination purposes, I hope it brings you as much joy as these magical creatures have brought me.

“Aegis-Hearted” is a piece I created that focuses on the courage required to exist unapologetically as we are. It depicts a feminine version of Zeus/Jupiter in the company of her four moons: Europa, Ganymede, Io and Callisto. I titled the painting, “Aegis-Hearted”, because Zeus’ shield was called the “Aegis” in Greek mythology.

We all live in a continuous cycle of rising and falling. I think of it as the Phoenix Cycle. Fire One is about the rising. In 2014, I was struggling with complications of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, something I was diagnosed with when I was a little girl. As the spring of 2015 approached, I realized I was on the rise again and promised myself I would live and paint with purpose regardless of obstacles ahead. Fire One embodies those first few purposeful steps. I hope it inspires others to rise as well, no matter what they are overcoming.

Original 11”x14” watercolor painting created during my son, Lucien’s wean off his seizure medication. I wanted to celebrate his curious, playful nature, and the seemingly carefree way he’s handling his demons. He’s my constant reminder to truly dance between the drops.
“Elysian Vagary” is one of the paintings I created during Lucien’s wean off his seizure medication. It measures 11”x17” and the title roughly means “divine wild.” Lucien, like all children, has a beautifully unbridled spirit and is so creative. I love learning to see things from his perspective, and wanted to create a painting encompassing those aspects of his personality.
”Elysian Vagary” features Celestial Kitsunes, and is the first in my collection of Kitsune paintings.
“Wunderkind” is the 8”x12” painting that kicked off the collection of work I created during Lucien’s wean off phenobarbital, an anti-convulsant he’d been on to control his seizures. He was diagnosed with epilepsy at 2 months, and his seizures stopped immediately on that medication. When he had made it through 18 months of seizure freedom with normal follow up EEG’s, his neurologist decided we could do a trial wean to see if his condition had completely gone into remission (otherwise known as having “outgrown” his seizures). I painted “Wunderkind” to process the emotions I experienced after that visit. No matter how big and independent he gets, he’s still my magical baby.
“The Surrogates” is a painting I knew I would have to create after seeing how quickly and naturally my pug-mix, Dremy, bonded with his human brother, Lucien, when we brought him home from the hospital after he was born. He immediately snuggled with us on the bed and was so calm and seemingly protective over this baby he’d just met. It was an authentically magical moment I’ll never forget. “The Surrogates” measures 11”x17”.
“Briony” was my Spring Anthem piece for 2019. I create a piece that celebrates spring every year, and during this particular year, I wanted to claim health for my family. “Briony” helped me set fear aside and create from a place of hope and beauty, making my desires known to the universe. This painting measures 10”x10”.
“Hiraeth” is a painting of magic and innocence. One of my desires as a mom is to fill Lucien’s world with tangible magic, and the beach has always been a magical place where I feel completely at peace. I remember putting shells to my ear as a little girl, because my grandma told me they contained the song of the ocean. That was possibly my first experience with tangible magic, and one I hope to share with my little boy soon. “Hiraeth” is a large painting that meaures 20”x30”.
“Fraternal” is a small 10”x10” painting that celebrates life, and the fantastical beauty and innocence through which we express love.
“Cicatrize” is a 16”x20” painting I created during my recovery from hernia repair surgery. The word “Cicatrize” means to heal via the formation of scar tissue, and creating an adventurous, peaceful painting was exactly what i needed at that time.
“Gloria” represents Pride in my Only Human series, which depicts the 7 Deadly Sins and 7 Heavenly Virtues. With this painting, I aimed to depict a gentle, optimistic Pride that always looks toward the sun, even on the darkest days. While I will never understand their struggles, I greatly admire the strength, tenacity, and pride with which women of color carry themselves, and I wanted to honor them with this piece.
“Invidia” represents Envy in my Only Human series depicting the Seven Deadly Sins and Seven Heavenly Virtues. I chose white carnations (sometimes tipped red) to represent envy because they symbolize secret admiration. I approached it from the perspective of someone who is jealous of another’s lover.
“Avaritia” represents Greed in my Only Human series, which depicts the Seven Deadly Sins and Seven Heavenly Virtues. I chose buttercups to represent greed, because they symbolize both wealth and innocence. I believe there is an element of innocence in greed, especially when it applies to those who are born into more privileged lives than others. They don’t realize exactly how greedy they are being because they truly don’t understand some of the struggles others face.
“Acedia” represents Sloth in my Only Human series, which depicts the Seven Deadly Sins and Seven Heavenly Virtues. I chose the moonflower to represent sloth, because it blooms in the evening.
